My Greatway Story My name is Marian Miranda, mother of 3 beautiful kids, Yana, Liam and Layla. Wife to Roy Jotic. Born and raised in Bataan, Philippines and a graduate of University of the Philippines at Los Banos. Worked as a fast food manager and a school administrator. April 2007, I came to Canada as a Live in caregiver for my cousin’s son for 2 years. I studied Long Term Care aide and worked in senior living facility. After a year, I studied again, Computerized Accounting/Bookkeeping. That was my ticket to work for a construction company in Calgary and end up working from home for 7 years. In 2016, a friend of mine, who was also my advisor told me that, “Get an insurance license! You’re smart! You can do it! It took me about a year to review because I just do it from 6-9 pm, in the library. I took the provincials and passed HLLQP in December of 2017 and got my license March 2018. But I was with another MGA then. Since I was not doing well in the business, I thought I should not renew my license in 2020. I just don’t like talking to people about death and how much the beneficiaries will be getting. Something is missing. Nov 2019, my husband’s friend, my AGA Jonathan Ferrer, keeps bugging him for a presentation. I told my husband, “Let’s hear it, and see what it is! I am very thankful that I listened to the presentation. It was an A-ha moment for me! There is more to my license than just selling life insurance. I found the missing link. A wonderful plan that not only give peace of mind in the event of passing but also peace of mind during the retirement years. I love this! Jan 2020, I was officially contracted with Greatway Financial Ltd. That was the beginning of a great journey in helping people save money and change lives. Last September 10-12, 2021, during the 6th Annual Convention in Calgary was a breakthrough… I got 4 awards, Rising Star, Managing Broker promotion, $75,000 12 months rolling cash flow and Senior Managing Broker promotion. In 2022, I embarked on a journey that took me away from Greatway. I made the heartfelt decision to resign from my position to focus on important family matters that required my full attention. While this chapter of my life was necessary, I soon realized how much I missed the vibrant environment of Greatway and the incredible people I had the privilege to work alongside. Fast forward to November 2025, I am delighted to share that I have returned to Greatway. Coming back feels like returning home—a place where I truly belong. Here, I am surrounded by support, inspiration, and a sense of community that is unmatched. I am excited to continue serving my clients and contributing to the remarkable work we do at Greatway. There’s no place like my Greatway home, and I am grateful to be back in a space that fuels my passion and creativity. I am looking forward to more years of happiness and aiming to help more people change lives. To God be the Glory!
